Our story

Eight years, two cities and one very slow train

HOW WE MET

We met on a delayed train from Lisbon to Porto in 2018. Tom had the window seat, Ana had the crossword, and by the time the train moved again we had finished it together.

THE YEARS SINCE

Ana moved to London for work the next spring, and Tom followed a year later with two suitcases and a bike. We have since lived in three flats, adopted one cat called Bica and learned to make a passable custard tart.

THE QUESTION

Tom asked on a walk up to the Moorish Castle last September. Ana said yes before he had finished the sentence, so we came back to Sintra to do the rest properly.
